Vineyards situation
The commune of Savigny les Beaune is located between Aloxe Corton and Pernand Vergelesses, in the north of the Côte de Beaune.
Characteristics
Savigny produces mainly red wines (90%) under the village and premier cru appellations.
The vineyard of "les Guettes" is located south, south-east, and is situated between
220 and 360m. The chalk soil is gravely and stony. "Les Guettes" lies in the middle of the commune, near the village of Savigny.
Wine making
This wine is aged in wooden barrels for an average of 12-15 months before being bottled.
Winemaker's comments / Gastronomy
"Les Guettes" shows aromas of white fruits such as apples, white flowers and
some spices. It is well balanced between acidity and . This wine will be perfect with fine white meat dishes, terrines and light cheese.
Preservation
This wine will certainly improve up to 8-12 years in good cellaring conditions
(humidity and temperature).
